Charmed Life – Favorites Part 4

Image result for charmed lifeCat doesn’t mind living in the shadow of his sister, Gwendolen, the most promising young witch ever seen on Coven Street. But trouble starts brewing the moment the two orphans are summoned to live in Chrestomanci Castle. Frustrated that the witches of the castle refuse to acknowledge her talents, Gwendolen conjures up a scheme that could throw whole worlds out of whack.

Guys! This is so cute! Firstly, it takes place before Howl’s, but it actually provides a lot of world building for the story. Although there is a ton of new characters and stories, this novel actually filled in some plot holes from Howl’s that I didn’t even notice existed. So, read it, if only for that reason.

If you’re the youngest sibling, don’t read this book. Your older sibling(s) don’t need the backlash they will get from it. 😛

Overall, this was written in such a way that, honestly, really any age could read. If you like good fantasy, or anything a little different, read it. It has Jones’ usual flare, which I so love, but a little bit of extra childish charm. I really can’t sell it enough.

Peace out

Maddie
