American Girl, a doll company I have liked since I was five, has rtired two dolls: Kirsten Larson, a Swedish immigrant arriving in America in the year 1875, and  Samantha Parkington, a Victorian orphan living with her rich grandmother in the year 1904. They are two of the three original American Girl dolls.  Felicity Merriman, a colonial girl growing up at the the beginning of the war in the year 1774, was the fourth American Girl that came out.  She is being retired after the holidays this year.  Felicity, has a best friend Elizabeth Cole who is being retired with her.
